Today is the day that we moved into our house. Yay! No more lugging babies and stroller up two flights of stairs! No more crappy apartment! We get to rediscover our stuff!
The movers showed up around 9am to dismantle the babies cribs and take them over to the house, along with all of our stuff that had been in storage. We left the babies in the capable hands of our baby-sitter, and met them at the house, where I had probably one of the longest days of just continuous work. It was box after box, and we tried to unpack as much as we could since we had a full eight hours without the babies.
Thirteen hours later, we called it quits. We got all of the kitchen unpacked, as well as much of our clothes. We had stacks and stacks of paper that they used to pack our stuff (and despite all the paper, we still had damage). I think that a forest is probably smaller due to our move. Hopefully, it was recycled.
So we are here -- still with boxes everywhere, but it's getting a little better, a bit at a time.
The cat is really happy -- she acts like nothing happened!
